Check-in - Short orientation and evening free to explore or relax. D

Day 2 – From duPlooy's, start the day with an invigorating hike of about 2 hours through the jungle and over the Mopan River via a hand-cranked ferry and finish up the last mile before arriving at the Maya archaeological site of Xunantunich where you will have the opportunity to explore the ruins with your guide. On the return leg, stop over at the nearby Mayan village of Succotz for lunch at a local restaurant, before hiking back to duPlooy's. BLD.

Day 3 Actun Tunichil Muknal (ATM Cave) 2 Days
Upon arrival at camp, we settle in and have lunch before beginning our trek to the Hand Print Cave to check out some ancient hand prints. Next up is some rappelling work (approximately 150 feet). On the way down you'll be passing directly in front of a cave entrance where you will see the pottery remains of ancient offerings to the gods that have been left undisturbed for centuries.

PM – Explore the ATM Cave. The day tours have all finished and its time for us to begin our exploration. We will be inside the cave for 3 and one-half to 4 hours and we begin by wading into the cave until reaching the first dry chamber. These chambers contains sacrificial human remains and Mayan artifacts. Of course there also many interesting stalagmite and stalactite formations to view along the way. After the cave exploration we return to camp to enjoy a camp fire and an evening of education and camaraderie. BLD

Day 4 – Our second day begins with an early morning hike to some lesser know caves in the vicinity along with an unexcavated Mayan site, where we will have a chance to view a carved monument made in honor of to the Mayan Rain God "Chak". After Returning to camp for lunch we prepare for our departure back to duPlooy's. BLD

Day 5 – Take some time off to enjoy your surroundings and experience some of the things to do at duPlooy's. Maybe even book an in-room massage to work out the kinks from the last few days and prepare for tomorrow's adventure.  (massage price not included)  After dinner enjoy a guided night hike to see what lurks around after dark at duPlooy's. BLD

Day 6 – After a hike in with your guide prepare to stretch your comfort zone as you descend 300 feet down the mother of all sinkholes, the "Black Hole Drop".  BLD

Day 7  – Choose to hike or ride on horseback to Flour Camp Cave (Its about 2 hours on a horse and about 2-1/2 hours on foot).  By now you should be comfortable in a cave so you have some opportunity to do some exploring on your own. Enjoy a picnic lunch along the Macal River before canoeing or floating on inner-tubes back to duPlooy's BLD

Day 8 – Travel by road across the Guatemala border to the magnificent Maya site of Tikal.
This is more a visual adventure and if you have come this far, in our opinion it is a must see. There are few places in the world that rival Tikal for its combination of ancient monuments alongside some unmatched opportunities for viewing wildlife. BLD

Day 9 – Road transfer to Belize City Airport for your return home or to your next destination.  If your schedule permits, we have one last adventure stop and that's at Cave's Branch Outpost for Cave Tubing and/or a Zip-line Canopy Tour.  B
